He chose for me the violet, the lily and the pink
But those I refused all three

곁에 서 있던 정원사에게 나를 위해 꽃을 골라달라고 부탁했어요.
나를 위해 제비꽃, 백합 그리고 분홍꽃을 선택해 주었지만
세 종류 모두 난 거절했어요.
하지만 모두 거절하고 말았어요..

제비꽃을 좋아하지 않은 이유는
너무 빨리 활짝 피기 때문이었어요.
백합과 분홍꽃은 정말 곰곰히 생각해봐야 했어요.
그래서 6월이 될때까지 기다려야겠다고 생각했죠.

6월에 피어난 한송이의 붉은 장미 봉우리..
그 꽃이 바로 날 위한 꽃이에요.
내가 버드나무를 얻게 될 때까지 가끔은 세월에
붉은 장미 봉우리가 떨어져 버리기도 했어요.

내가 버드나무를 얻게 될 때까지..
버드나무는 뒤틀려 엉키겠죠.
그 나무는 뒤얽히게 될거에요.
한때는 나의 품안에 있던 젊은 시절의 당신 품안에
내가 있었으면 좋겠다고 가끔은 바라기도 해요.
