 Long as I remember                  비가 내리기 시작한지가
the rain been comin' down         오래 된걸로 여겨지는데
Clouds of  mystery pourin'       이상하게도 구름은 땅위에다
confusion on the ground          요란스레 (비를) 퍼붓고 있어요
Good men through the ages          시일이 지남에 따라
tryin' to find the sun            사람들은 햇볕을 보고 싶어 견디기 힘들어 하지요
And I wonder  still I wonder           난 정말 궁금해요.
who'll stop the rain                 누가  비를 멈추게 할 것인지...

I went down Virginia                   폭우를 피하기 위해서 
seekin' shelter from the storm       버지니아로 갔어요.
Caught up in the fable                    거짓말 같지만
I watched the tower grow          탑이 솟아 오르는 걸 보았어요
Five year plans and new deals     5개년 계획과 뉴딜 정책이
wrapped in golden chains           금 사슬로 포장되어 있네요
And I wonder  still I wonder            난 정말 궁금해요
who'll stop the rain                  누가  비를 멈추게 할 것인지...

Heard the singers playin',               우린 환호하면서
how we cheered for more           가수들의 노래를 들었어요
The crowd had rushed together     따스하게 지내려고

tryin' to keep warm                군중들이 함께 모여 들었지요
Still the rain kept pourin',              비는 여전히 퍼붓는데.. 

Fallin' on my ears                 내 귓가에 (비가) 떨어지고 있네요.

And I wonder, Still I wonder            난 정말 궁금해요

Who'll stop the rain                 누가 비를 멈추게 할 것인지...
